Sheaves for Christ 2011

Dear Pastors, Ministers and Saints of West Virginia:

Thanks so much for your continued support of the WV District Youth Ministry and the General Youth Division.  Each year–through the support of churches like yours–thousands of dollars are sent into all the world to help build churches, win souls and effectuate revival.

Special thanks to all churches who have supported Sheaves for Christ this year.  Many offerings have been received thus far.  The SFC Sacrificial offering date was Sunday, September 11th. However, if you have not yet sent in or collected your church’s SFC offering, it is not too late!

Please help us with this very important offering.  Remember, 40% of the SFC offering stays right here in WV to assist in the many ministries provided to your students and young people.

Also, if you’ve not yet followed the WV Youth Ministry on Facebook and Twitter please do so at the following links:

Thanks in advance for your help!

Fantastic 2011 Men of promise conference…..

Tremendous word that was delivered to us this past week at our anual conference. Thank you to every pastor for your support and allowing the men of your local congregation to attend these services. The count given to me was that friday night over 26 pastors alone were in attendance. Awesome support!

Bishop Bill Davis gave us great admonition and clarity from the word of God. Host pastor Anthony Moss challenged each one to become the men of promise that hell is afraid to encounter. Friday morning sessions were terrific as pastor Nathaniel Hudson spoke on the subject in Genesis of adam.

Thank you NCAC church family and staff as you made everyone welcome and at home.

The Men’s commitee of Wv also extends appreciation and warm regards to the entire district board for granting this event.

Cd puchases are still avaliable.
Contact is pastorlgw@comcast.net

The entire set is $25 with $3 postage for a total cost of $28

In just a few weeks our General conference will convene in Kentucky. I am excited to be a part of the Apostolic Man service on saturday morning. The speaker will be Rev. Brian Kinsey from Pensacola,Florida. This will be a service you will not want to miss. I anticipate wonderful things in the Holy Ghost in this gathering. Lastly, I am endeavoring to meet with other district directors at general conference to glean information and ideas to better lead the men of this great district. We have been challenged by the enemy and I know that we will rise to the forefront with victory thru the only true living God. Thank you for allowing me to serve.

LAST MINUTE YOUTH CAMP NEWS!!!

West Virginia Family,

Youth Camp 2011 begins one week from today!  I’m happy to report to you that we have received many pre-registrations and are looking forward to an impacting youth camp!  I can’t think of any youth ministry method that has had more of a lasting impact on our students than youth camp!  We covet earnestly your prayers as we go into this exciting week!

Campers–please note the following information:

  • Registration for ALL campers and staff begins at 12:00 noon next Monday, July 25th at the worship center facility at the Rippling Waters Campground.  Space is limited so if you’ve not already registered and are planning on coming please don’t be late!
  • Dress—will be “business casual” for all campers for night services on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Due to the limited space for hang up clothing in the cabins and the cottages—we  strongly urge campers to dress more business casual and to limit themselves to (1) suitcase or duffle bag!  Thursday night will be a “dress up” night.  Girls may want to bring an extra mirror since the bathroom area is smaller than what we were accustomed to at Point Pleasant.
  • Recreation—please bring appropriate basketball clothing, fishing poles, small tackle box, a softball glove and enough changes of clothing.  Our activities will be “Olympic style.”  That is to say—we will move from location to location together and have lots of fun and fellowship along the way.  We will be doing a softball game(s), basketball tournament, paddle boat races, archery shoots, paintball and zipline activities.  Anthony Moss is our recreational events coordinator and has lots of fun planned for the campers.
  • After church concessions—will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. There will be no concessions after the Thursday evening service.
  • Conclusion of camp—Youth Camp ends immediately after the Thursday evening service.  ALL West Virginia District UPCI campers, staff and drive-in visitors must vacate the Rippling Waters campground by 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night (no exceptions and no courtesy stay overs).   Please make arrangements to pick up your campers and students on Thursday evening at the conclusion of the service.

We’d also like to make sure that everyone understands that ALL WV saints are more than welcome to attend the night services in the worship center just as it was in the past at Point Pleasant.  The amount of seats is less than at the Pt. Pleasant location, however, we still have seating for around 650-750.

We are very excited about this year’s camp!  Thanks for allowing us the privilege of ministering to your teens and students!

Sincerely in Christ,

Robert E. Fazzalore
WV District Youth President

YOUTH CAMP 2011 REMINDER

Dear West Virginia Family,

On behalf of all the Youth Team let me wish you a very Happy Independence Day!

The Youth Team has been working diligently to prepare for Youth Camp 2011 which begins three weeks from today!  We are very excited about the new venue and the many new activities we are able to include this year.

We believe it will be a great camp for your students and youth!

Let me remind you that pre-registration is $125 per camper and must be postmarked by next Monday, July 11th! Registration at the door (space permitting) will be $150.  Be sure and take advantage of the savings and pre-register today!  We have received several pre-registration forms already.  However, there is still PLENTY OF ROOM for all campers desiring to attend (both girls and boys)!

More camp information is also available at our new WV YOUTH MINISTRY WEBSITE at www.wvyouth.com/.

Please let us know if you have questions or concerns about youth camp.

Blessings,

Robert Fazzalore
WV District Youth President

Fifty Nine Churches In The West Virginia District

The West Virginia District United Pentecostal Church has fifty nine churches and three daughter works. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:25, Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. How many WV UPCI church pictures and service times will you help post before church camp starts July 25 2011?

Home Missions Church Dedicates New Building

It has never been said that planting a Home Missions church is easy, it has been said many times, that it is worth it.

This past Sarturday evening, Bro. & Sis. Frank Bounds, of The Pentecostals of Parkersburg dedicated their new building.  During a revival in which they had 241 in attendance on Friday evening, The Pentecostals broke in the old Parkersburg Shriners Lodge as a new place of Hope.

Keep praying for Bro. & Sis. Bounds and this Home Missions congregation as they believe for great revival
