About Pastor David Johnston
It was Feb. 5, 1989 that I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at North Charleston Apostolic Church, pastored by Billy Cole. I still remember the message he preached that night. He titled it "Doom or Destiny". It changed my life.
Dec. 22, 1990, I married the beautiful Crystal Adkins. This was another wonderful day in my life. God blessed me with a wonderful wife, who loves God, and loves the work of God.
Feb. 26, 1992, Kinzey and Patrick were born. Do I need to say, it was another wonderful day in my life.
April 11, 1996, Nicholas and Conner were born. My life as been filled with wonderful days.
May 27, 1997, I was voted in as Associate Pastor of First United Pentecostal Church, in Ravenswood, WV.
Jan. 1, 2000, my father in law, Frank Adkins retired, and I accepted the full pastorate, which is where I serve today.
I also serve as the Home Missions Director of the great state of West Virginia.
All I can say is, "God is good"!
It has never been said that planting a Home Missions church is easy, it has been said many times, that it is worth it.
This past Sarturday evening, Bro. & Sis. Frank Bounds, of The Pentecostals of Parkersburg dedicated their new building. During a revival in which they had 241 in attendance on Friday evening, The Pentecostals broke in the old Parkersburg Shriners Lodge as a new place of Hope.
Keep praying for Bro. & Sis. Bounds and this Home Missions congregation as they believe for great revival
