  1. Lots of precious memories of the Bectons. She was speaker at one of the Ladies Conferences in Nebraska when I was President. In talking about our US President who had attended Pentecostal services and Camp meetings and was caught on camera with tears, she commented – with her sweet humor – “Well, you know them “(church members)………..”s – they got bladders under their eyes. They can just cry at the drop of a hat” She was so sweet!
They were with us for our 25th Anniversary in Lincoln, Nebraska. What memories for our family.
Bro. Becton looked so distinguished, yet I remember him at a couple conferences humbling himself and rolling on the floor, as the presence of God swept through the place.
What a loss to the earthly ministry – but what a gain for them. At that great day, they, along with the Pughs, Coles, Bro. G.A. Mangun and others, will be waiting at the Pearly Gates to welcome the rest of us.

  3. I respected and admired Brother and Sister Becton immensely. The kingdom of God has grown brighter on the heavenward side and dimmer on the earthward side. May we all aspire to follow their example of faith and kindness so the void caused by their passing might be somewhat diminished. We can never fill their shoes, but we can all try our best to walk the path they trod.

  4. Margie Becton was a very dear friend. She was so genuine and real – everything about her. She was never too busy to make a special time happen if I was close by. We were privileged to have both the Bectons in our home more than once when we lived in Stockton, CA.
It was a blessing in our lives to know well-known leaders who never acted as though they were above others. On one of their visits, Bro.Becton had been the speaker for a men’s retreat. When they came to our home for dinner, he was exhausted. I invited him to relax in my recliner. He took a much needed nap. He told CLC the next morning about sleeping in my recliner. We felt it was an honor.
He also played my piano and I have it on video. Sis. Becton had the sweetest humor and unconditional love for others.
Our lives were blessed by their friendship – precious memories.
They were the type of people as Paul said about himself, “Follow me as I follow Christ.”
