Camp Cancellation!

YOUTH CAMP CANCELLATION!

Dear West Virginia Family,

I am sorry to have to inform you that we have had to cancel WV Youth Camp 2012.  Following consultation with the power company and the district board, it was determined that there is no feasible way we can conduct the youth camp without power.  The continued power outage and the spate of bad weather, heavy rains and strong winds have delayed all electrical transformer repairs in the region where Rippling Waters is located.

I wish to thank each of you who made plans and sacrifices, took vacation time and made efforts to be part of youth camp.  It is without doubt a disappointment for all of us.  Unfortunately, these are circumstances that are beyond our control.

Refunds for camp tuition will be sent in the next 10-12 days for all who pre-registered.  If there are any issues or concerns you have, please make them via e-mail to: youthpres@wvupci.org and youthsec@wvupci.org.

Please note that the Virginia District is having their youth camp this week.  Any WV student who PRE-REGISTERED for WV Youth Camp may have his/her camp tuition transferred to VIRGINIA YOUTH CAMP.  If you want to do this, you MUST do the following:

1)      Contact Justin or Tiphanii Meadors

justmeadors@gmail.com  or  Tiphanii27@aol.com
304-932-1618    or  304-419-1604

2)      Plan to arrive at the Virginia Campground between 9am and 12noon tomorrow informing the VA registration booth that you did pre-register in West Virginia (this will then be verified)

Their normal camp tuition is $150—however, they are extending the courtesy of transferring WV camp tuition to their camp.  Special thanks to Superintendent Jack Cunningham and Youth President Gary Pierson for this.

The VIRGINIA YOUTH CAMP is located at:

1640 Lee Highway
Fort Defiance, VA 24482

Communication about a possible alternative to camp prior to the end of summer will be forthcoming from the WV Youth Ministry in the days to come.

Pastors and parents:  our students will be very disappointed.  Let’s try to be as positive, encouraging and uplifting to them as possible.

As a final note, I'm sure that perhaps there are a few details I have omitted.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Sincerely in Christ,

Robert E. Fazzalore
WV District Youth President

  1. Bro. Fazzalore, you have our condolences. You and the Youth team have done an admirable job in the least fortunate of circumstances beyond your control. Thank you.
