Northeast Regional Prayer Meeting

The following message was just sent out via our One Call Now messaging system:

Greetings Brethren:

Let me remind you of the NE Regional Prayer Meeting this Saturday January 7, 2012. Thanks to all our churches who have responded for a designated time of prayer on Saturday between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.

From 9 p.m. until midnight we will all continue together in a spirit of prayer for our region and district.

Please remember Brother Glenville McBride’s wife, Mildred, in prayer as she just got out of the hospital with a heart related issue.  Also, remember the Seebaugh Family as Brother Mike Seebaugh’s mother passed.

2012 is going to be a great year!

Blessings!

Youth Congress

Brother & Sisters,

Just wanted to give you an update tonight on the North American Youth Congress.  I must say it was a very powerful meeting.  Everything was well done and has proved to be a most rewarding blessing to all in attendance.  The service tonight capped a fantastic Congress.  I trust you might get to hear the message of Rashid Collins.  I’m telling you it was a most powerful message very well spoken.  Last night’s message by Jimmy Toney was equally as powerful in a different way. The conclusion to his message would be a must see as a 25 foot cross was let down from the ceiling and Brother Toney began to climb the cross.  Impacting for sure!  The message will not be soon forgotten.

Our own Jessica Bounds placed #3 as the Female Vocalist for NAYC.  Congratulations to Jessica. She makes WV shine.  Tonight’s service of some 15,000 people by my estimate was one of the most powerful services in a major conference I have been in for some time.  Youth lingered for some time.

In two years the next Youth Congress will be in a totally brand new facility in Louisville, KY. Again this will be close for West Virginians and not to early to make plans and set aside funds for this conference. This meeting has surpassed the General Conference in attendance and is a most powerful and blessed conference.

God Bless!
Brother Hudson

Campmeeting 2011

Greetings to Our West Virginia Family,

I can tell you that the first two nights of Campmeeting here at Rippling Waters have been power packed. Youth are receiving the Holy Ghost, and a wonderful spirit is prevailing on the campground. There are 132 registered campers. Brother Jason Staten is doing a powerful job in ministering to the Youth of WV. There were 400 in attendance Tuesday night. We have space for 800 so there is room for you, and it is not too late to take in a night of Campmeeting 2011.

One another note, I can’t remember when I saw so much activity going on around the campground as I saw yesterday. Youth were using the Zip-Line, which is very popular, as well as paintball, fishing, paddle boats, basketball, softball, archery target shooting, and table games in the cool of the dining hall. The youth were having a blast.

God bless as you try to stay cool in this heat and humidity.
