West Virginia Youth on Mission–Quebec

Dear West Virginia Family:

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

I would like to thank you for your continued support of the WV Youth Ministries.  I also would like to inform you about a wonderful opportunity available to all WV Youth ages 15+ next summer.

We are sponsoring a WV Youth on Mission Trip to the Province of Québec in Canada next June 20-28, 2012.  Québec is the most multicultural district in the United Pentecostal Church boasting converts from more than 40 different countries around the world.  While there, we will be participating in explosive church services, outreach, fellowship with the Québec District FLAYME youth group and many other worthwhile ministry endeavors.  We’d very much love to include some students from your church on this trip!  The trip will be led by the WV District Youth leadership, the Québec District Youth President Hector Guzmán and Metro Missionaries Scott and Liane Grant.

The total cost of the trip will be around $1,300 and will be all-inclusive (travel, lodging, tourism, 2-meals per day).

WV Youth on Mission Application

WV Youth on Mission Flyer

To participate, students should fill out their application and send in a non-refundable application fee of $100 postmarked no later than January 9, 2012.

Should you have questions please feel free to contact me, Brother Meadors or a Youth Committee Member.

In closing, let me say that in 2012 the West Virginia District Youth Ministry is whole-heartedly committed to faithfully fulfilling our mission with excellence and effectiveness.  Your youth committee, youth secretary and I are here to serve you and your youth.  It is our sincere desire to equip our young people to be true Apostolics in this last hour.

Sincerely in Christ,

Youth Congress

Brother & Sisters,

Just wanted to give you an update tonight on the North American Youth Congress.  I must say it was a very powerful meeting.  Everything was well done and has proved to be a most rewarding blessing to all in attendance.  The service tonight capped a fantastic Congress.  I trust you might get to hear the message of Rashid Collins.  I’m telling you it was a most powerful message very well spoken.  Last night’s message by Jimmy Toney was equally as powerful in a different way. The conclusion to his message would be a must see as a 25 foot cross was let down from the ceiling and Brother Toney began to climb the cross.  Impacting for sure!  The message will not be soon forgotten.

Our own Jessica Bounds placed #3 as the Female Vocalist for NAYC.  Congratulations to Jessica. She makes WV shine.  Tonight’s service of some 15,000 people by my estimate was one of the most powerful services in a major conference I have been in for some time.  Youth lingered for some time.

In two years the next Youth Congress will be in a totally brand new facility in Louisville, KY. Again this will be close for West Virginians and not to early to make plans and set aside funds for this conference. This meeting has surpassed the General Conference in attendance and is a most powerful and blessed conference.

God Bless!
Brother Hudson

LAST MINUTE YOUTH CAMP NEWS!!!

West Virginia Family,

Youth Camp 2011 begins one week from today!  I’m happy to report to you that we have received many pre-registrations and are looking forward to an impacting youth camp!  I can’t think of any youth ministry method that has had more of a lasting impact on our students than youth camp!  We covet earnestly your prayers as we go into this exciting week!

Campers–please note the following information:

  • Registration for ALL campers and staff begins at 12:00 noon next Monday, July 25th at the worship center facility at the Rippling Waters Campground.  Space is limited so if you’ve not already registered and are planning on coming please don’t be late!
  • Dress—will be “business casual” for all campers for night services on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Due to the limited space for hang up clothing in the cabins and the cottages—we  strongly urge campers to dress more business casual and to limit themselves to (1) suitcase or duffle bag!  Thursday night will be a “dress up” night.  Girls may want to bring an extra mirror since the bathroom area is smaller than what we were accustomed to at Point Pleasant.
  • Recreation—please bring appropriate basketball clothing, fishing poles, small tackle box, a softball glove and enough changes of clothing.  Our activities will be “Olympic style.”  That is to say—we will move from location to location together and have lots of fun and fellowship along the way.  We will be doing a softball game(s), basketball tournament, paddle boat races, archery shoots, paintball and zipline activities.  Anthony Moss is our recreational events coordinator and has lots of fun planned for the campers.
  • After church concessions—will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. There will be no concessions after the Thursday evening service.
  • Conclusion of camp—Youth Camp ends immediately after the Thursday evening service.  ALL West Virginia District UPCI campers, staff and drive-in visitors must vacate the Rippling Waters campground by 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night (no exceptions and no courtesy stay overs).   Please make arrangements to pick up your campers and students on Thursday evening at the conclusion of the service.

We’d also like to make sure that everyone understands that ALL WV saints are more than welcome to attend the night services in the worship center just as it was in the past at Point Pleasant.  The amount of seats is less than at the Pt. Pleasant location, however, we still have seating for around 650-750.

We are very excited about this year’s camp!  Thanks for allowing us the privilege of ministering to your teens and students!

Sincerely in Christ,

Robert E. Fazzalore
WV District Youth President

YOUTH CAMP 2011 REMINDER

Dear West Virginia Family,

On behalf of all the Youth Team let me wish you a very Happy Independence Day!

The Youth Team has been working diligently to prepare for Youth Camp 2011 which begins three weeks from today!  We are very excited about the new venue and the many new activities we are able to include this year.

We believe it will be a great camp for your students and youth!

Let me remind you that pre-registration is $125 per camper and must be postmarked by next Monday, July 11th! Registration at the door (space permitting) will be $150.  Be sure and take advantage of the savings and pre-register today!  We have received several pre-registration forms already.  However, there is still PLENTY OF ROOM for all campers desiring to attend (both girls and boys)!

More camp information is also available at our new WV YOUTH MINISTRY WEBSITE at www.wvyouth.com/.

Please let us know if you have questions or concerns about youth camp.

Blessings,

Robert Fazzalore

Youth Camp 2011

Dear Fellow West Virginians,

Greetings and Salutations to all. I pray that this letter finds you enjoying the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are looking forward to seeing each of you at District Conference in Morgantown, WV. I did want to write to you today to update you on camp 2011. In the recent ministers meeting in Clarksburg, WV the ministers of the WV District voted to accept the offer on our campground. This left us with a very urgent and very important task of finding a place to have camp in 2011. Let me just assure you we ARE having youth camp in 2011!  So, the Youth Department began investigating many different options. I am glad to report to you that we were able to secure a location! We will be having Youth Camp 2011 at Rippling Waters Campground in Sissonville, WV  from Monday, July 25 – Thursday, July 28.

Rippling Waters Campground is beautiful and offers many accommodations. First, it is located just minutes from Charleston. So, hotels, shopping, and food will be easily available. Secondly, it offers many great activities. There are two volleyball courts, a covered basketball court, plenty of open fields to play softball or flag football, a kids playground, zip lining, paintball, a lake to go fishing or boating, and beautiful places to sit just fellowship. It also has beautiful housing quarters. Our campers will be staying in cabins and cottages that are all air conditioned. Plus for those of you wanting to bring your own camper, there are plenty of places to park with full hook-up available. The campground has a prayer chapel, and a place for a camp-fire. Also the tabernacle is very nice!

You don’t want to miss Youth Camp 2011! Our theme this is “Why? 1 lost = 2 many!” We are going to have a fun filled, action packed, anointed week at WV District Youth Camp 2011!!! Come and join us for this life changing experience.

In closing, allow me to say that both myself and Sis. Meadors love each and every one of you and pray for you daily! If there is ever anything we can do, please do not hesitate to ask!

Yours in Christ,
Justin Meadors
WV District Youth Secretary

Remembering the WV UPCI Campground

Honoring the Past While Looking Forward to the Future

The WV District UPCI ministers have voted on three different occasions to sell the campground. The third and final vote (on April 19, 2011) was to accept an offer of $320,000, which amount is to be protected in an interest-bearing account that guards the investment while funding the planting of new UPCI churches.

By vote of the ministers, the funds cannot be touched except by a super-majority vote of the District Conference. The recent theft of all copper plumbing lines from the camp is resulting in an insurance claim that will be sufficient to cover all the District’s closing cost for the sale. This means the full $320,000 will go into the protected account.

The District will be having youth camps elsewhere. Youth camps / camp-meetings are a part of our Apostolic culture, and they will continue to be. With God’s help, our future will be even brighter than our wonderful past. With many fond memories, we honor not only the history on the campground, but all the precious saints and ministers who have labored to provide that history.

SFC 2011 “WHY? Because 1 Lost = 2 Many”

Greetings and Salutations,

I pray that this letter finds everyone of you experiencing the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, is Friday, April 15, 2011. It is also, the day we launch Sheaves For Christ (SFC) 2011. The theme for SFC 2011 is “WHY? 1 lost = too many!”. Why, do we do what we do? Why, do we give like we give? Why, give of our finances? Why, give of our time? Why, give of our talents? Why, pray? Why, fast? Why, read the Word of God? Why, press for revival? Why, do outreach? Why, have camps and conventions? Why? 1 lost = too many!

One member of our family, lost, is too many. One friend of ours, lost, is too many. One backslider, lost, is too many. One member of our community, lost, is too many. One person in our city, lost, is too many. One member of our county, lost, is too many. One member of the Mountaineer state, lost, is too many. One member of our country, lost, is too many. One person in our world, lost, is too many. It is time for the church of the living God to rise to the occasion and realize we are at war! It is time for us to fight like we have never fought before, give like we have never given before, and reach like we have never reached before. Why? 1 lost = too many!

I write to you today to launch our 2011 SFC Campaign “Why? 1 lost = too many!”. I believe that in 2011 we can raise our greatest SFC offering of all time. Together, we can make a difference. I want to challenge you to begin raising funds now for the great cause of SFC. In the following months we will be in contact with you through letters, e-mails, phone calls, presentations at District Conference, Camp, and other events, in order to raise money for this great cause. I pray that each one of you will support the WV District Youth Department as we try to make a difference in our world. Why? 1 lost = too many!

Yours in Christ,

Justin Meadors
WV District Youth Secretary

Capitol City Youth Congress Update

Dear Saints,

We are closing in on one of the most exciting events in the 2011 calendar year. The “Capitol City Youth Congress” will be here in just a couple of weeks. The WV District Youth team is finalizing the last few details now. We are looking forward to a great time in the Holy Ghost!  We have designated this conferences theme as “E:3” we are focused on empowering, equipping, and evangelizing the West Virginia District youth.

One of the things that I need to bring to your attention is that there has been a change in the venue for the Friday night lock-in. The lock-in will now be held at the Grand Prix Family Fun Center in South Ridge. This will give our young people more options and hopefully something for everyone. There will be laser tag, arcade games, go carts, putt-putt, and a place to just sit around and visit.

Another thing that I wanted to bring to your attention is that there will be room in the foyer of the Municipal Auditorium for a few tables to be set up. These tables will be available for reservation from now until February 1st. These tables will be available to those with published items. (i.e. Cd’s, books, etc) These tables will be available for a $25.00 dollar donation to the WV District Youth department. Please contact me to reserve your table @ YouthSec@wvupci.org

We look forward to seeing each and every one of you there.

Thanks,

Justin Meadors

WV District Youth Secretary
