WV District Pastor to speak at national AIPAC Policy Conference

Bishop Edwin Harper, Apostolic Life Cathedral, to Speak at AIPAC Conference in Washington, DC

Bishop Edwin Harper, Senior Pastor of The Apostolic Life Cathedral, is scheduled as a featured speaker at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) annual Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. March 20-22. AIPAC works with the United States Congress on a bipartisan basis to strengthen the US-Israel relationship. The conference will host more than 16,000 pro- Israel Americans from the Jewish, Christian, African American, Hispanic, Progressive, and Veterans communities. Bishop Harper has been active in AIPAC as a grassroots leader since 2011. More recently he was a key leader in rallying more than 700 attendees at the University of Charleston Town Hall hosted by Senator Joe Manchin III concerning the dangers of the bad Iran Nuclear Deal. In response to his constituents’ overwhelming concern, he opposed the Iran deal.
In the past, AIPAC’s Policy Conference has featured- as speakers- American Presidents and Vice-Presidents, Israeli Prime Ministers, Democrat and Republican leaders in Congress and an array of inspirational and expert guests who tout the importance of the US and Israel as strong allies.

In 2011 Bishop Harper traveled as a guest of the American Israel Education Foundation, affiliated with AIPAC. The Education Seminar focused on learning about the issues and innovations in the Jewish state through a series of briefings from a variety of Israeli leaders. Although a longtime supporter of Israel, his trip motivated him to advocate on behalf of the nation of Israel to engage and educate members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives on legislation that directly benefits both nations and promotes Israel’s safety in a dangerous part of the world.

Bishop Harper has spoken at the annual Day of Israel celebrations held in downtown Huntington. The Bishop and his wife Sharon have pastored the Apostolic Life Cathedral for the past thirty years.

Get Custom Outreach Tees for Your Church & Raise Outreach Funds at Same Time

CAC Outreach T-shirt 2CAC Outreach T-shirt 1

Pastors/Outreach Directors:

Let us help you get custom-made Outreach Tees for your church and raise some funds for outreach at the same time.  Contact Pastor Doug Joseph for details. Pricing varies according to total order quantity, but on average: One-time $50 setup fee, then a cost of approximately $8 per shirt, with FREE SHIPPING.  Your church can take orders at, say, $12 per shirt (on an order form that is provided), and then place your order with us. On average, your church would keep about $4 per shirt to help fund an outreach. Even small orders are feasible, although you might have a higher cost in each shirt and perhaps need to ask a little higher price.

NOTE: We also have banner designs to help coordinate a matching look between both your shirts and your outreach booth (see above and below). We would love to tell you about a very successful approach of offering on-the-spot prayer and free, on-the-spot 10-minute Bible studies, along with give-aways of Bibles, water bottles, and helium balloons. This approach has been very effective for us at the local festival. At our last festival outreach, we taught over twenty (20) Bible studies, three (3) people spoke with tongues right on a public street as we prayed with them, and eight (8) people from the outreach effort were water baptized in Jesus name. In a quick summary, we gave away 150 water bottles, 190 balloons, 30 Bibles, 20 Bible studies,  prayed with about 30 different people at the booth, and water baptized 8 people.

Social Networking Bridges

Earlier we posted that we had established the bridge from the district’s new web site and the WVUPCI Twitter account, meaning those who follow us on Twitter will automatically know something new has been posted here.

Now we have established the bridge from the district’s new web site and the district’s Facebook account. This means we can send published posts over to WV UPCI's Facebook. (Note: We ask that you click there and "LIKE" the page (become a fan), as we need at least 25 fans before we can obtain a "friendly" URL for the page. Thanks!)

This also means that anyone can log into the WV UPCI site by using your Facebook login. Logging into one will log you into the other. You can also post comments with that login. (Creation of an account on this site is a simple step on your first time in.)
