Youth Camp 2011

Dear Fellow West Virginians,

Greetings and Salutations to all. I pray that this letter finds you enjoying the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are looking forward to seeing each of you at District Conference in Morgantown, WV. I did want to write to you today to update you on camp 2011. In the recent ministers meeting in Clarksburg, WV the ministers of the WV District voted to accept the offer on our campground. This left us with a very urgent and very important task of finding a place to have camp in 2011. Let me just assure you we ARE having youth camp in 2011!  So, the Youth Department began investigating many different options. I am glad to report to you that we were able to secure a location! We will be having Youth Camp 2011 at Rippling Waters Campground in Sissonville, WV  from Monday, July 25 – Thursday, July 28.

Rippling Waters Campground is beautiful and offers many accommodations. First, it is located just minutes from Charleston. So, hotels, shopping, and food will be easily available. Secondly, it offers many great activities. There are two volleyball courts, a covered basketball court, plenty of open fields to play softball or flag football, a kids playground, zip lining, paintball, a lake to go fishing or boating, and beautiful places to sit just fellowship. It also has beautiful housing quarters. Our campers will be staying in cabins and cottages that are all air conditioned. Plus for those of you wanting to bring your own camper, there are plenty of places to park with full hook-up available. The campground has a prayer chapel, and a place for a camp-fire. Also the tabernacle is very nice!

You don’t want to miss Youth Camp 2011! Our theme this is “Why? 1 lost = 2 many!” We are going to have a fun filled, action packed, anointed week at WV District Youth Camp 2011!!! Come and join us for this life changing experience.

In closing, allow me to say that both myself and Sis. Meadors love each and every one of you and pray for you daily! If there is ever anything we can do, please do not hesitate to ask!

Yours in Christ,
Justin Meadors
WV District Youth Secretary

Remembering the WV UPCI Campground

Honoring the Past While Looking Forward to the Future

The WV District UPCI ministers have voted on three different occasions to sell the campground. The third and final vote (on April 19, 2011) was to accept an offer of $320,000, which amount is to be protected in an interest-bearing account that guards the investment while funding the planting of new UPCI churches.

By vote of the ministers, the funds cannot be touched except by a super-majority vote of the District Conference. The recent theft of all copper plumbing lines from the camp is resulting in an insurance claim that will be sufficient to cover all the District’s closing cost for the sale. This means the full $320,000 will go into the protected account.

The District will be having youth camps elsewhere. Youth camps / camp-meetings are a part of our Apostolic culture, and they will continue to be. With God’s help, our future will be even brighter than our wonderful past. With many fond memories, we honor not only the history on the campground, but all the precious saints and ministers who have labored to provide that history.

SFC 2011 “WHY? Because 1 Lost = 2 Many”

Greetings and Salutations,

I pray that this letter finds everyone of you experiencing the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, is Friday, April 15, 2011. It is also, the day we launch Sheaves For Christ (SFC) 2011. The theme for SFC 2011 is “WHY? 1 lost = too many!”. Why, do we do what we do? Why, do we give like we give? Why, give of our finances? Why, give of our time? Why, give of our talents? Why, pray? Why, fast? Why, read the Word of God? Why, press for revival? Why, do outreach? Why, have camps and conventions? Why? 1 lost = too many!

One member of our family, lost, is too many. One friend of ours, lost, is too many. One backslider, lost, is too many. One member of our community, lost, is too many. One person in our city, lost, is too many. One member of our county, lost, is too many. One member of the Mountaineer state, lost, is too many. One member of our country, lost, is too many. One person in our world, lost, is too many. It is time for the church of the living God to rise to the occasion and realize we are at war! It is time for us to fight like we have never fought before, give like we have never given before, and reach like we have never reached before. Why? 1 lost = too many!

I write to you today to launch our 2011 SFC Campaign “Why? 1 lost = too many!”. I believe that in 2011 we can raise our greatest SFC offering of all time. Together, we can make a difference. I want to challenge you to begin raising funds now for the great cause of SFC. In the following months we will be in contact with you through letters, e-mails, phone calls, presentations at District Conference, Camp, and other events, in order to raise money for this great cause. I pray that each one of you will support the WV District Youth Department as we try to make a difference in our world. Why? 1 lost = too many!

Yours in Christ,

Justin Meadors

Capitol City Youth Congress Update

Dear Saints,

We are closing in on one of the most exciting events in the 2011 calendar year. The “Capitol City Youth Congress” will be here in just a couple of weeks. The WV District Youth team is finalizing the last few details now. We are looking forward to a great time in the Holy Ghost!  We have designated this conferences theme as “E:3” we are focused on empowering, equipping, and evangelizing the West Virginia District youth.

One of the things that I need to bring to your attention is that there has been a change in the venue for the Friday night lock-in. The lock-in will now be held at the Grand Prix Family Fun Center in South Ridge. This will give our young people more options and hopefully something for everyone. There will be laser tag, arcade games, go carts, putt-putt, and a place to just sit around and visit.

Another thing that I wanted to bring to your attention is that there will be room in the foyer of the Municipal Auditorium for a few tables to be set up. These tables will be available for reservation from now until February 1st. These tables will be available to those with published items. (i.e. Cd’s, books, etc) These tables will be available for a $25.00 dollar donation to the WV District Youth department. Please contact me to reserve your table @ YouthSec@wvupci.org

We look forward to seeing each and every one of you there.

Thanks,

Justin Meadors

WV District Youth Secretary

West Virginia District Youth Update

                        Dear West Virginia District Family,

I write to you today from the road, we are traveling from the state of Missouri to the state of Indiana. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I pray that you did as well. I challenge us all to continue to have an attitude of gratitude not only during Thanksgiving but throughout the remainder of the year as well.

We are having wonderful revival on the evangelistic field and I pray that you are experiencing great moves of the Spirit of God in your church as well. The calendar year of 2010 is almost over so let us finish this year out strong and believe God for great things in the coming month!

The packets for Capitol City Youth Congress are being sent out and you should be receiving them shortly. If at all possible I challenge you to pre-register. This is cheaper for you and easier for us to prepare for a great conference. We have a first class facility, and amazing speakers coming in. We are expecting great things from God in this conference!

I am excited to report to you that we have confirmed that Rev. Mark Morgan will be our Youth Camp Evangelist in July 2011. Bro. Morgan was here a few years ago and did a wonderful job and we are believing this camp will be no exception.

There are lots of great and exciting things going on the West Virginia District Youth Department. If there is ever anything that the youth department can do please do to better assist you please do not hesitate to ask.

We love each and every one of you and believe in you. Together we can make a difference in the end time hour.

Exciting Times

November 6th, 2010

Dear Friends and Family of the great State of West Virginia,

I write to you today from Missouri. I pray this letter finds you experiencing great things in the Kingdom of God. I would like to report to you that on the evangelistic field the Holy Ghost is falling everywhere. We have been in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Missouri over the last few weeks and have witnessed great outpourings of the Holy Ghost! I believe this is our day and our hour. Let us cease the moment and tear the devil’s kingdom down in Jesus Name!

I am excited to report to you that we have just had another youth committee meeting and planned some more great events for the 2011 calendar year. Obviously, “Capitol City Congress” is rapidly approaching and will be a wonderful event. Churches should have received our first preliminary flier by now and will receive more info soon! Also, I am glad to report to you that in May of 2011 at our annual District Conference Master Youth Rally we will be having the New York Metro District Youth President, Rev. Omar Jolly preaching for us. You do not want to miss this anointed ministry. More details will follow for this event as well.

Great things are in store for the District of West Virginia! I believe that we are in the midst of the greatest hour of revival that the Church will ever see! Let us make the most of it and do all that we can to reach our generation in Jesus Name!

Youth Congress 2011 (Capitol City Congress)

Dear Fellow West Virginians,

I would like to extend a formal thank you to each and every one of you that helped us make the 2010 SFC campaign “Living to Give” a successful one. We reached our goal of $17,000 this year which we are very excited about. We also, increased our giving over last year which is also very important. I know it was a lot of hard work and also sacrifice but it was well worth it all in the end. So a HUGE thank you to everyone who gave and now we will begin to focus on SFC 2011!!! J

I would also like to make each and every one of you aware of our next District Youth event. Coming February 10th – 11th 2011, will be our annual youth congress! This year Youth Congress will take on a new name “Capitol City Congress.” We are very excited to announce that this year’s youth congress will be brought back to Charleston, West Virginia. Capitol City Congress will take place at the Municipal Auditorium in Charleston, West Virginia. Churches will be receiving a preliminary flier in the mail very soon.  We are looking for a marvelous turnout and awesome, Holy Ghost Filled church! Our special speakers this year will include, Rev. Greg Bowman (Indiana District Youth president) and Rev. Doug White of Silsbee, TX. You will want to make your plans now to attend the very first Capitol City Congress!!!

In closing, allow me to say to all of our young people that Tiphanii and I love you all very much and are praying for you! We believe in each and every one of you! Also, to our West Virginia District family if there is anything that we can do to be of service to you please do not hesitate to ask. The Youth Department is excited about what God is doing in our District!

Sheaves for Christ

Dear WV District Church Family,

With tremendous joy I write to you today because of the marvelous works of the Lord. We have just finished West Virginia District Camps a couple of weeks ago. I am glad to report to you that at least 61 people received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in our two weeks of camp. To God be all of the glory! Many of our young people were touched by the hand of God. I watched as night after night, young people laid in the altars, with tears streaming down their faces, as God began to move on them in a very real way. Parents, pastors, and saints, you can be confident in the fact that we have a great group of young people in the West Virginia District!

To all of our young people and youth leaders, Tiphanii and I love each and every one of you very much. We believe in you, your call of God, and your future. I challenge you in the Holy Ghost to keep living for God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and spirit. You CAN make it, you CAN do it, and you CAN be mightily used by God.  I challenge you to take your relationship with God to a deeper level of consecration.

Just a note of reminder to all that ordered CDs from the second week of camp and have not received them as of yet: We are working diligently on them and will have them to you shortly. Thanks for your patience in this matter.

Now I come to something that is very urgent as well as very important. The Sheaves for Christ deadline is August 29, 2010. Thank you for all who have already made pledges. We are believing God for a great Sheaves for Christ offering in 2010. We are asking you to help us in this matter. It is not too late to give an offering or even start raising money. We need to make this very last weekend a very important one and make one more strong push to raise money. All of the money will go to support the Kingdom of God 100%. It is a great cause that is worth giving sacrificially towards. Let us all Live to Give in 2010!

Live to Give,
Justin Meadors

July 2, 2010

Dear Pastors, Ministers and Fellow Laborers:

Let me begin by saying how very humbled we are that you have elected us as your new District Youth Secretary. Tiphanii and I are very grateful and honored that you have placed your confidence in us. I can tell you that first and foremost we will do anything and everything we can to serve you, our District, youth team, and young people, to the very best of our ability. This is not a task we take lightly. With that being said, we are very excited about what the future holds!

We are very excited to be working with our new District Youth President Rev. David Bounds. I know he has a tremendous love and passion for our generation and will do an excellent job in his new role. Also, we are very blessed to have such a wonderful and capable youth team to work with. I believe we are on the brink of the greatest revival in the history of the West Virginia District Youth.

Let me take this time to also remind you about two very important things coming up. We are looking forward to West Virginia District Youth Camp on July 26th – 30th. We have evangelist Matt Tuttle scheduled to be with us. You don’t want to miss this exciting time of year! Also, remember the Sheaves for Christ deadline is rapidly approaching, August 29th. Please be in prayer and continue to raise funds for this excellent cause.

In closing, let me say that if there is anything that I can do to help or assist you please do not hesitate to call or email me. Together we can make a difference in this generation. We love each and every one of you and look forward to what God is going to do!

Dear Ministers of the West Virginia District,

I was very humbled by the vote of the brethren to elect me as your new youth president. My family and I will serve you to the best of our ability. We are looking forward to what God is going to do in the near future.

We are going to miss, my dear friend Bro. Fazzalore and his leadership in a great way, and are very thankful for all that he has done and accomplished in our great West Virginia district. I have enjoyed working with him and his family.

The youth team, as well as I am very excited of the future of our great district. We are in great expectation of what God is going to do in the hearts of our youth. We are moving forward with the mind of God and clear direction. We have a lot of things planned in the near future. Such as our missions trip to Costa Rica. Bro. Fazzalore and I will be taking a group of twenty from here in West Virginia to their general conference, where we will be conducting a Holy Ghost crusade. Please be in much prayer that God would fill many souls with the Holy Ghost! We will be leaving June 17th

Youth Camp is almost here! There has already been a lot of work accomplished at the camp this year. I want to thank our superintendent Bro. Garlitz, Bro. Priddy, and  Bro. Hurley and his crew for the new roof on the tabernacle. Two men from Bro. Kapp’s church and Bro. Bob Shelton have already been cutting grass and getting the grounds prepared for our kids. On June 11 & 12 there will be work days at the camp. I would love to see a great turn out of workers of all ages. Many of the youth team will be there as well. There will also be work days on July 9 and 10 as well as July 16 and 17.

Our camp evangelist this year is Evangelist Matthew Tuttle from Houston, TX.  Brother Tuttle is a full-time evangelist, a son of our UPCI missionaries to Holland, and a member of the Texas District Youth Committee.  He preached our master youth rally at district conference last year and God used him in an awesome way. We are looking forward to him ministering to us this year.

The dates for camp are as follows:

Sunday school camp dates are July 19-23 ages 8-12

Senior Youth camp dates July 26-30 ages 13 and up

Please note as well that we have combined both Junior and Senior High ages into one week.  To that end, the amount of workers and dorm counselors we will be able to use will be smaller than in years past.  Pastors, please inform your saints that anyone desiring to come to camp as a worker must submit a worker application to either Pastor P. D. Priddy or myself and be approved prior to arriving at camp!  You can find this application here on the WV District web site. This helps us plan more efficiently.  Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

Thank you for your continued faithful support of the WV Youth Ministries. You make our ministry possible and for that we are very grateful. We do not take lightly the trust you place in us to make a positive spiritual impact in your young people. It is our sincere desire to strengthen your hands and reinforce the powerful truths of the Word of God that you proclaim to your youth every week in the local church.

In closing, let me say that in 2010 the West Virginia District Youth Department is wholeheartedly committed to faithfully fulfilling our mission at an even higher level of excellence and effectiveness.  Your youth committee team, youth secretary and I are here to serve you and your youth.  It is our sincere desire to equip our young people to be truly Apostolic in this last hour.

If I can be of service to you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
